AMPSEQUENCER operation

Currently you can order only the AMPSEQUENCER BOARD.

The BOARD comes pre-assembled and wired. You need to supply a proper casing enclosure and solder the wires to the case connectors. If you want to change the program settings, or hear 1 minute PTT lock warnings you will also need a small 2inch speaker.

You will need some interfacing connectors depending on the existing ones on your station.
For KEY-IN KEY-OUT we suggest stereo jacks compatible with your radio and key.
For all other connections with the exception of the power, normally RCA-female is Ideal.
We suggest connecting a switch in series with the power pad (power 7-15V @ >15mA).
Once connected, operation is completely transparent.
The AMPSEQUENCER comes preprogrammed with a 20 ms delay and CW buffering.
To change the factory setting:

keep the DOT paddle pressed while turning on the AMPSEQUENCER to decrease the timing
keep the DASH paddle pressed while turning on the AMPSEQUENCER to increase the timing
you should hear some dots on the minispeaker connectedd to the ampsequencer speaker, as you keep the DOT paddle keyed, the number of dots will decrease until you will hear only 1 dot followed by longer  pause, when this happens you have reached the shortest delay/buffer that the AMPSEQUENCER will insert, this will correspond to approximately 9 milliseconds. as you keep the DASH paddle keyed, the number of dots will increase until you will hear 5 dots followed by longer  pause, when this happens you have reached the longest/buffering delay that the AMPSEQUENCER will insert, this will correspond to approximately  80 milliseconds for buffering and about 150ms for PTT delay.
Once you have reached the setting you want release the paddles for 3 seconds,AMPSEQUENCER will switch to normal operating mode.
You may want to keep the longest possible delay you feel comfortable with unless you have a QSK amplifier and want to operate full-QSK then probably the first or second settings will be enough.
The AMPSEQUENCERsaves the setting on EEPROM and will remember your setting next time you turn on the unit even if the unit has been powerless for years.
SET and FORGET
Once you have found the delay that suits your needs, you can go on enjoying hamming and let the AMPSEQUENCER protect your investment.

For Ampsequencer boards shipped till Nov,13 2007 the delay between the amplifier and actual PTT activation on your TX was fixed to 30ms.
Check the timing diagrams
From Nov, 13 2007, the delay is adjustable starting from about 7ms then about 30,60,90,120,150ms.
Figures may vary be +/- 5% due to internal clock design of the microprocessor
